I usually do not do this kind of thing but this has me concerned. As an independent motorcycle dealer who lists a number of bikes on Ebay and sells bikes elsewhere via the internet I had to make this comment. I have noticed over the last few months several bikes where the seller has a ridiculous price, like a pristine 98 Fatboy for $8000 USD, a 2003 V-Rod for $12500 and there have been others, they all ask for deposit money wired to an account, sometimes to another country, with the remainder due after delivery. All I am asking is that you beware of who you are dealing with, ask questions, get information, spend the extra $65 to have the bike checked by a local shop, if they do not agree, that is the first red flag. I can not count the number of winning bidders who have not even emailed me before hand, fortunately they are dealing with a person who is straight up and not trying to scam. Just beware if it is to good to be true, it probably is. Thanks for listening and BEWARE!!!
