you've seen them NO TITLE but "will provide bill of sale" (usually for older bikes). yes, some states have registration only for bikes, others registration/transfer for older (10-15 yrs.) "in state" bikes. but if your considering an interstate transaction BIG YELLOW FLAG. In most cases/states I've checked lawful ownership (ergo; ability to register) WILL NOT travel to another state w/o title. here in florida it's even unlawful to sell a bike w/o a title (Ch. 319.34, F.S. 2007) as I told a florida seller(madmax4747)whose 1980 bike came from RI, had no title, but he assured "most states do not require a title". Seems to me this deserves clarification for the unwary stuck with a servicable, running but useless (roadwise) machine.
