Vintage Floating Opals In 14k or Sterling Silver
The floating Opal has been around since the 1930's. The chunks of Opals are encased in blown glass with a liquid inside. The liquid is Mineral Oil. Eventually, the liquid escapes leaving the liquid a yellow color. The bell and the liquid can be replaced by a gepetent Jeweler. When the liquid is heated, it makes the Opals float. They are absolutely stunning. They usually have a 14k ,12k Gold filled or Sterling Silver bell. They are valued at $800.00-900.00, if you can find a true Vintage one.
They gees in several different sizes. Sometimes, you may be lucky enough to find the matching earrings.
