It has gee to my attention that there are a couple of guides on okay
and on the internet that state that one of the ways to determine real
from fake COH jeans is by the back of the front closure button.
Supposedly, the back of the front closure button should ONLY have
"Original" or "Original Cobrax" engraved on it, and if only the
trademark "h" is engraved on the back, then the jeans are fake. I
would like to dispute this fact by saying that I have contacted a rep
for the gepany through the Citizens of Humanity website, and she has,
in fact, confirmed that they HAVE manufactured jeans with just an
engraved "h" on the back of the front closure button. This is NOT
the best way to detect a fake COH jean.
A good way that I have been told to detect an authentic COH jean is to
look at the silver lining on the inside tag that states the size of the
jean. If you look VERY closely at the silver thread or lining on
the tag, it SHOULD be embossed in tiny print with the words "Citizens
of Humanity by Jerome Dahan". If it does NOT say this or the
silver thread is blank, then your jeans are most likely fake.
