RESTORING THE PAST - "OLD IRON" - ANTIQUE TRACTORS
Whether you are one of the fast growing "old iron" enthusiast or just a person looking for that "hard to find" part, okay can help you if you know how to SEARCH for what your looking for. For me, I restored an old antique John Deere Tractor and found a lot of what I needed on okay. The easiest way I found is to narrow your search words to Brand specific and one or two identifing words to bring up a lists of items just forthe more specific items your looking for. FOR EXAMPLE: I used the following in searching for hard to find parts I needed: In the SEARCH field - I asked for "John Deere Unstyled" - This brought me a manageable lists of parts and items associated for Unstyled parts specifically for John Deere. If however, I had just asked for "John Deere" - I would have a list too long with things I would not have been interested in. Some other search'es I used are as follows:- I used specific model #'s or brands of items such as: "DLTX" forold unstyled carberators, "Fairbanks Morse" AND "Wico"formagnetos, "Vortox" for air breather assy's. etc. You will also be amazed at the okay stores you will have access to from your search criteria and these can prove to be a benefit to you for finding items associated with you particular project. Hope this information helps and "Happy okaying"...
