Howcan one cleanse and or recharge a crystal?
There is no set one way to do this that I have found. Each crystal, rock friend is different. I can offer you a few suggestions that I have used, and maybe one of them will work for you.
My number one favorite way to cleanse a crystal is to run it thru sage smoke (smudge). 99% of the crystals, rock friends I have ever had or ran across seem to appreciate this greatly.
Another way I cleanse some of mine is to use kosher or sea salt. I will set my crystal or rock friend in the sink (on a towel ) and pour the salt over them, let them sit for a bit, and then rinse them off. Some like cold water, some like hot water. I have found that mainly quartz crystals will tolerate this method.
If you have gee across a crystal, rock friend that you know is yours, but you just can't seem to get clean, you can try wrapping it into a natural material (cotton, silk, hemp) with fresh cedar and sage and burying it about 6" down into the earth for a full cycle of the moon. *Remember to Thank Mother Earth for her cleansing help when doing this.*
Recharging.....the Full Moon is the best way that I have found to recharge a crystal, rock friend. ( you could also take this time and lay your crystals, rock friends in a bed of sage while they recharge ) You may also be able to charge smaller stones on a bigger quartz slab. Mind you now.....I have run across quite a few crystals, rock friends that prefer a full Sunny day outside to the Full Moon.
I also have ran across crystals, rock friends that choose to go to the Ocean and sit in the Sand for a bit after being washed in the Sea. *also here.....remember to Thank the Sea and Sandfor it's cleansing help*. I have a couple that LOVE the Snow. I know for some, depending on geographic areas, the Sea or Snow just aren't available.
Another quick recharge trick I have found to work ( if charging is needed between Full Moons ).....is your own breathe. Hold the crystal, rock friend in your hand and inhale deeply.....then exhale your own essence onto/into the crystal, rock friend. It may take only one time.....but I find the number of times (consecutive breathes) that works best for me is four.
If none of these seem to work for you or your crystals, rock friends to satisfaction.....try holding your crystal, rock friend and filling it with Love. It's amazing what Love can do for a crystal, rock friend that is truly yours. : )
